It's all feeling a bit cold and miserable and Februaryish so we cheer ourselves up by looking forward. Roger collected our seed potatoes this morning and there will be another seed order going in this afternoon, we've got quite a few new things to try but is there anything you know that we should be growing? Cima di rapa has been a success so more of that for starters.

We started these Black Radish off last summer, they were quite slow to grow but now we have some very big ones. Roger is NOT keen on growing them again, what do you think? Should he be persuaded? There will be some at the markets this weekend but not on the website as they are all different sizes and it is difficult to set a standard price.
They can be used in the same way as a 'normal' radish but can also be roasted or pickled. We were originally told about them as a Spanish vegetable but they also seem to be popular in Chinese cuisine.
